PARIS, FRANCE & OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – Trackdown, the first Bollé helmet designed from the ground up specifically for the demands of mountain biking, is outfitted with category-leading safety technologies and a long list of unique features.
Trackdown uses the AViD liner system, a technology recently developed for the company’s snow helmets. This new construction technique is optimized with interior ventilation channels that - in addition to providing excellent airflow – decrease weight and make the EPS at the top of the helmet behave like a lower density material. The result is a lighter, more comfortable helmet with balanced performance across a range of impacts. Models are also available with the MIPS to provide an additional extra measure of protection against some rotational motion of the brain from certain angled impact forces.
Adaptable to a truly all-weather helmet, Trackdown has a vent cap and an optional winter liner to manage airflow and rain infiltration. Standard features include: adjustable visor positioning, CLICK TO FIT™ 360̊ retention system, and the security and convenience of Bollé’s exclusive Sunglass Garage.
Built for the demands of off-road riding and other challenging outside sports, Kayman, Ibex and Heron feature burly frame designs, authentic materials and a host of available features, including: polarized lenses, anti-fog treatment, and Thermogrip temples and nose pads. Kayman, Ibex, Heron and most other Bollé sunglasses are RX-able with the B-Thin prescription program.
All new models will be available at retail in the early spring of 2018. The Trackdown MIPS and Trackdown models are priced at $169.00 and $139.00, respectively. Outdoor collection models range from $69.00 to $99.00, depending on lens types. All Bollé helmets and sunglasses are offered in a number of colors.
