CamelBak Steps Up to Help Puerto Rico Employees Impacted by Hurricane Ian

Giving back is part of CamelBak’s DNA, and yet another example of that was on display this week.

When employees at Vista Outdoor’s Eagle manufacturing facility in Lares, Puerto Rico, were suddenly without access to safe drinking water following Hurricane Ian ravaging the island, the brand stepped up in a big way by donating 300 Eddy+ 32-oz. water bottles with LifeStraw filters, plus 300 replacement filters.

It took a team effort to get the bottles and filters to employees in Puerto Rico, with employees from numerous departments — including the C-suite, marketing, sales and more — chipping in to ensure the order was made, the supplies were shipped and received, and that everyone in Lares could safely drink water.

Cristina Suarez, Business Lead for Eagle in Puerto Rico, reported on Wednesday that the team in Lares indeed received the bottles and was enjoying clean, safe water after going without for days.

“They were so happy since some still don’t have running water!” she said.

Kudos to the CamelBak team for taking care of fellow employees in need.
