Vista Outdoor has made a significant economic investment in Arkansas over the last year or so, including the acquisition and revival of the Remington ammunition plant in Lonoke, the addition of pellet maker Fiber Energy Products in Mountain View, and the opening of a Camp Chef and QuietKat distribution center in Bryant.

And our company’s commitment to the Natural State took center stage at SHOT Show in Las Vegas when Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and his delegation of economic development staff, including Secretary of Commerce Mike Preston, took a VIP tour of Vista’s booth on Wednesday.

Hutchinson was introduced to Remington, Camp Chef, Fiber Energy and QuietKat from Vista employees, who showed off their brands’ latest and greatest products and answered the governor’s questions about the companies’ growing presence in Arkansas.

Tour guides included Kris Carson of Remington, Brooks Hansen of Camp Chef and Justin Roach of QuietKat, all of whom had the unwavering attention of Hutchinson as he inquired about the ways that these Vista brands are not only forging remarkable innovations in ammunition, outdoor cooking and e-bikes but also boosting his state’s economy.

Later on Wednesday, when Hutchinson spoke on a governors’ panel, he gave Vista a nice shout-out, specifically about our ongoing commitment to resuscitating the Remington brand.

Hutchinson, who also met that day with CEO Chris Metz and CFO Sudhanshu Priyadarshi, was pleased to hear that three other Vista brands — Fiber Energy, Camp Chef and QuietKat — are also making an enormous difference in his state.

The Arkansas delegation’s tour of Vista’s booth was just one highlight from the four-day show, which wrapped today. Vista’s booth was, by far, the largest on the show floor thanks to two dozen of our brands showcasing their products and more than 100 employees making the trip to Vegas.

And our crew was continually busy answering questions from the numerous dealers and members of the press that flowed through our booth in hopes of seeing what innovations our brands were bringing to market next. That type of vibe makes SHOT Show the company’s most important and valuable trade show in a busy season.
