Tied up for Valentine’s Day: Group makes seven tie blankets for local charity

There is a different vibe on Floor 3 at the DCE in Anoka, MN this week.

While you might suspect spring fever from the latest blast of cold temperatures, the Legal and Human Resources departments organized crafting for a cause.

With the assistance of the Thrivent Action Team program, they bought materials to produce seven tie blankets this week for Blankets for a Brighter Day, a foundation that provides tie blankets to patients of Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. Employees were encouraged to take time to stop and help cut and tie the Outdoor and Valentine’s Day themed blankets.
