Vista Outdoor, LaVance Among Winners of Chamber Awards

The Lewis-Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce, Lewiston, Idaho, recently recognized Vista Outdoor as Large Business of the Year and Jeanette LaVance as Board Member of the Year.

“We are honored to be selected as the large employer of the year by the Chamber,” said Bill Mackleit, Senior Director of Lewiston Operations for Vista Outdoor. “Giving back to our community is a core company value. This award is a tribute to the many employees who have contributed their time, talents and resources to make the Valley a better place.”

Congratulations are also in order for Jeanette LaVance, the recipient of the Board Member of the Year, an award known as one of the Chamber’s most prestigious.

“We’re especially proud of CCI/Speer’s own Jeanette LaVance, who received Board Member of the Year, for her tireless efforts to improve the lives of her neighbors in need,” said Mackleit.

These honors recognize a member’s exemplary service and support to the Chamber. The award goes to a dependable member who is consistently willing to do the extra.

“Serving on the Chamber board is a great opportunity to give back and be the voice of our members. I’m grateful to my fellow board members for their support as well as my coworkers at CCI/Speer for their commitment to community service,” said LaVance. “Receiving this is a tremendous honor.”

LaVance will serve as second vice chair of the Chamber’s board this year.
