Vista Outdoor Employees Pack Over 29,000 Meals for Feed My Starving Children
Earlier in March, 50 employees, friends and family from the Anoka, Minnesota Distribution Center, along with several volunteers from the Anoka Plant spent two hours of their day packing food for Feed My Starving Children. The non-profit organization provides hand-packed meals, specially formulated for malnourished children. Meals are shipped to 70 countries around the world.
The Vista Outdoor team more than doubled the number of participants from their first event in December. And boy, did the results sky rocket! At the end of the two-hour shift, they had packed 135 cases of “Manna Pack” rice. Each case holds 216 meals – equaling 29,160 packs that will feed 78 starving and malnourished children for a year.
