Stone Glacier Proud to Support Montana’s Inaugural Youth Hunting Story Contest
We are excited to support Gov. Gianforte’s first annual Youth Hunting Story Contest. This contest is a great way to encourage participation and support the future of hunting in our state.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Stone Glacier, a builder of ultralightweight, performance hunting gear designed for backcountry use and a Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO) brand, this week announced its support of the inaugural Governor’s Youth Hunting Story Contest, a program launched by Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte that celebrates the state’s hunting heritage by inviting Montana’s youth and apprentice hunters who harvest an animal to write about their adventure.

The program, open to Montana youth and apprentice hunters ages 10 to 17, will recognize 10 young hunters as the contest winners at the State Capitol in December. As a Bozeman-based brand, Stone Glacier is proud to financially support this initiative and bring more Montana youth into the sport of hunting.

To enter the contest, hunters must submit a story of no more than 500 words and a photo from their hunt. Eligible entries include the harvest of any legal game, furbearer animals or birds in Montana. Gov. Gianforte will select 10 winning hunters, five aged 10-13 and five aged 14-17, and invite them to the State Capitol in mid-December to be recognized. Winning hunters will also receive prizes from Stone Glacier and other Montana outdoor brands. The deadline to enter the contest is Nov. 28.
