We are excited to have an expanded footprint in the state, and our teams are already integrating into the community, expanding jobs and taking advantage of the abundance of recreational opportunities offered across the state.

ANOKA, Minn. — Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO), the parent company of 39 renowned brands that design, manufacture and market sporting and outdoor products to consumers around the globe, is pleased to announce that the company and Arkansas-based Remington Ammunition and Fiber Energy Products have joined the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Vista Outdoor said that given the company’s sustained success growth, which includes the successful acquisition and revival of the Remington ammo plant in nearby Lonoke and its recent acquisition of wood pellet manufacturer Fiber Energy, based in Mountain View, it’s critical to become both involved in local economic matters and connected with other businesses. Vista Outdoor is a firm believer that a vibrant local economy and workforce are good for business, employee morale and recruiting.

Moreover, Remington and Fiber Energy aren’t Anoka, Minn.-based Vista Outdoor’s only business connections to Arkansas. Vista Outdoor recently expanded its distribution facility in Bryant, which serves QuietKat, the recently acquired e-bike company, and Camp Chef, the backcountry and backyard cooking brand. The facility in Bryant is essential to expanding QuietKat’s and Camp Chef’s reach into East Coast markets and demonstrates the benefits and scale a large, multibillion-dollar organization can bring to upstart and growing outdoor businesses.

Fred Ferguson, Vista Outdoor Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications and President of the Vista Outdoor Foundation, will be the company’s primary person of contact to ensure that Vista’s, Remington’s, Fiber Energy’s and the Chamber’s advocacy, philanthropic and community goals are aligned.

“Arkansas is a great place to live, play and work,” Ferguson said. “We are excited to have an expanded footprint in the state, and our teams are already integrating into the community, expanding jobs and taking advantage of the abundance of recreational opportunities offered across the state. The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce will support us in these endeavors and will be a strong long-term partner as we continue to grow and operate in Arkansas.”

Joel Hodgdon, Director of Marketing for Remington and a local resident, will be the primary person of contact for the ammunition brand.

“With Remington’s history in the greater Little Rock area stretching back more than 50 years, we are honored to join the Chamber and contribute further to supporting our local community,” Hodgdon said. “Big Green and the Natural State are a natural fit with our shared values of conservation and community.”

Steve DeVoe, an Arkansas resident and Fiber Energy’s Vice President of Product Development and Sales and Marketing, will be the primary person of contact for the company. He said joining the Chamber alongside Vista and Remington will further cement the company’s ties to Arkansas, which date back to Fiber Energy’s founding in 2006.

“Under Vista Outdoor, the future is bright for Fiber Energy Products and I’m excited for our business moving forward,” DeVoe said. “Joining the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce only enhances and solidifies our commitment to the Arkansas business community.”

Jay Chesshir, Little Rock Regional Chamber president and CEO, offered a warm welcome to the organization’s new members. On March 11, several Chamber employees toured the Remington plant in Lonoke. Their visit included plenty of photo opportunities and even a ribbon-cutting to formally welcome Remington to the Chamber.

“We are excited to take our partnership with Vista, Remington and Fiber Energy to the next level as they become the newest Little Rock Regional Chamber members,” Chesshir said. “Having worked to support the company in past economic development projects, we know their importance to our thriving Arkansas shooting sports and wood pellet manufacturing industries.”
